Emmanuelle discovered a passion for horses when she started riding with her autistic daughter Bettina. Since 2015 she has been developing her vision of rescuing, rehabing, training horses and creating a safe and beautiful haven for humans and equines to share space together in the most harmonious and mutually beneficial way.

Secretary

Kathy is a retired teacher who worked with special needs children for 35 years. She has always loved horses and just rescued a mini. Joining the Lotus Herd team has been a way for her to combine two of her passions.

Treasurer

Katharine is an equine veterinarian who is fascinated with both animal behavior and the human-animal bond. She has recently switched to part time small animal (cat & dog) medicine, in order to free up more time for studying clicker training with horses. She is so grateful for the opportunity to help The Lotus Herd achieve its mission, connecting horses and people.

Director

Danielle has a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and currently owns her own small business. Danielle’s daughter has been volunteering for The Lotus Herd since 2019.

Director

Kelly has owned and ridden horses all her life. She worked as a vet technician and upon retiring joined Sound Equine Option which is the biggest Oregon horse rescue. Her passion has always been animals, especially horses and joining The Lotus Herd has been very rewarding for her.

Caroline is a former cattle rancher, retired attorney, tax professional and grandmother of many.
